Today’s contract employee and direct hire markets are 180 degrees different from the market two years ago. Back then, there were an abundance of jobs and high demand for both contract and full-time staff. Pay was better, benefits were better, and employees had all the leverage. However, the market has shifted drastically over the past couple years.
